Preprint Policy

Vallensis Publishing supports open science and does not penalise authors for posting preprints. Authors may post their manuscript to a recognised preprint server (bioRxiv, medRxiv, arXiv, SSRN, Research Square, or equivalent) at any stage — before, during, or after peer review.

Authors should note in their cover letter that a preprint exists, with the URL; update the preprint with a link to the published article upon acceptance; and not post updated versions during peer review without notifying the editorial office. Preprints may be cited in submissions and should be clearly identified as preprints in the reference list.
